For centuries, diamonds had lived at the core of human history

From the earliest myths, tales, and magical beliefs to modern rituals, diamonds had remained an enduring symbol of sacred bonds and ceremonies—of love, power, and eternity. Revered not merely for their inherent beauty but also for their timeless meaning, they stood as some of nature’s most ancient storytellers, carrying a living legacy across generations, through time and space.

This year, De Beers partnered with Frieze Masters for the first time to premiere Voyage through the Diamond Realm — an experience that revealed the living heritage of diamonds through immersive visual storytelling, scenography, and soundscapes, inviting audiences to engage with the cosmic and earthly journeys each one had taken.

The experience traced the origins of diamonds, from their birth as stardust in the fiery hearts of stars to their discovery in the wild landscapes of rivers, deserts, and ice. It showed how diamonds had inspired humanity’s most enchanting stories about life and our place in the universe.

Echoing Frieze Masters’ celebration of rare treasures, major artworks, and cultural objects, natural diamonds endured as one of nature’s unique masterpieces — shaped by the elements, each one alive with a memory from the dawn of time.

Voyage through the Diamond Realm is the first chapter in a series of immersive experiences that will tour globally across the U.S., India and China, from early 2026.
